Biblical ancestor of Jesus was killed at Armageddon - and evidence has been found

A chilling biblical tale about an ancestor of Jesus may hold some truth, according to astonishing new evidence unearthed at the Armageddon site.

The Book of Revelation identifies Armageddon as the site of the final cataclysmic battle between good and evil before the birth of a new world.

Today, the location is known as Tel Megiddo, located on the road linking North and South Israel, about 30 Km south-east of Haifa. It's the site where King Josiah, a forefather of Jesus, was reportedly killed by Egyptian Pharaoh Necho II, as per biblical accounts. Recent archaeological findings have provided the first tangible evidence supporting this narrative, with discoveries indicating an Egyptian presence at the site during Josiah's era.

For Christians, Tel Megiddo is identified as the site of the final battle between the forces of good and evil at the end of time. Currently, it is home to kibbutzim and farming communities, as well as plenty of excavation sites uncovering the town's rich history, including Roman settlements, constituting a home to some 12,500 people.
